Dear Minister,
Good Morning.
FOTO members are actively working to provide extra buses where a second or third bus now needs to be provided due to social distancing advices. May I take it that the parents will be compensated for the extra costs associated with this? Your interview on RTE 1 radio this morning refers. Many of these school services are directly with parents and schools and are not with Bus Eireann through your Department.
We are also actively approaching parents and schools directly offering our services to transport their children where Bus Eireann have advised you that they have no buses, I presume these parents will also be compensated?
I will appreciate your earliest response to allow us and the parents put in place these services in good time and that will avoid the delays of the “roll out” proposed by Bus Eireann.
